The digital graffiti system was designed by Interferences, Arts et Technologies of Quebec, Canada and was launched in the UK at the Arts by the Sea Festival, Bournemouth on 27th September 2024.
Light Art Creatives are pleased to have been chosen to further develop this system with Interferences, Arts et Technologies and have been given the UK exclusive rights for it's use.
Just like it sounds the system uses spray cans to paint buildings, walls or objects but with light instead of paint.
Via projection mapping we can use the system in virtually any environment from public buildings, classroom walls or even on cars and snow!
The users simply pick up the can, select a colour, paint size and spray pattern from the wireless control booth and point at the building.
Pressing the button on the can 'releases' digital paint on the building and away you go.

The initial idea came from the desire to make the gesture of graffiti a performance in itself, ephemeral and spectacular.
Like in Canada, we aim to collaborate with professional artists to offer even more tools for their creativity and more opportunities to show their talents.

Artwork can be downloaded and saved but is also beautiful in it's fleeting essence.

We have started to develop educational lessons and shows which are perfect for all ages and abilities.
From primary schools to university students the system can be easily integrated into lessons and curriculums.
Working with local artists to do live performance art is soon going to be available to book.
